Check it works

Four quick checks, from "is it connected" to "can I make a board", with what a good answer looks like.

  1. Connected and signed in. Ask: “Check my GoBanana connection.” The agent calls ping. A good answer:

    Connected to GoBanana as you@example.com.

“You are not signed in. Reconnect to sign in again.” means the sign in never finished or expired. See Troubleshooting.

  2. Tools listed. Ask: “Which GoBanana tools can you see?” You should get 17: ping, bend_brief, search_references, rate_references, rate_directions, new_canvas, open_canvas, get_canvas, add_to_canvas, arrange_canvas, delete_canvas, cut_parts, frankenstein_page, remix_frankenstein, update_frankenstein, extract_palette, export_kit. Some clients also list save_canvas_state and load_canvas_state; those belong to the canvas view.

  3. A free bend. Ask: “Bend ‘pricing page for a ceramics studio’ at wildness 3 for a website, 2 directions, don’t save it.” The agent calls bend_brief with no canvas. Nothing is saved and no search is used. You should see 2 directions with a spec each.

  4. Your boards. Ask: “List my GoBanana canvases.” The agent calls get_canvas with no id. A new account answers that you have no canvases yet. Then open https://gobanana.fun/en/canvases in a browser with the same account: the same list should show.

If all four pass, make your first board.

In Claude Code, type / and look for gobanana-explore and the other gobanana-* skills, or run /plugin and check that gobanana is enabled. In Claude.ai, the skills come with the plugin from your organization’s settings.
